A scholarly and multi-disciplinary full text database containing more than 8,500 full text periodicals and including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals. Offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and a total of more than 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc.

Artemis Literary Sources

Integrates full-text literary content with metadata and subject indexing and provides workflow tools to analyze information. You use it to research authors and their works, literary movements and genres.

Allows users to search for journals through a variety of methods including keyword, author, and title, identifies libraries holding the items, and indicates if the item is held by the Simpson University Library. Search results provide tabbed gateways to records detailing other material types including books, videos, and audio materials.

The United Kingdom's national thesis service whose aim is to provide open access to publications that have been publically funded. The service provides free full text to a large number of theses. A free EThOS account is required for access.

A collection of scholarly journals in humanities, social sciences, and sciences that is easy to search and use.

OmniFile Full Text Select

OmniFile Full Text, Select Edition™ is a full text-only database that contains a wealth of essential material for learning and research across the disciplines. Full-text articles are available from approximately 2,700 publications, many of which are peer-reviewed.

The On-Line Books Page

A directory of books that can be freely read on the Internet. It includes an index of thousands of on-line books, pointers to significant directories and archives of on-line texts, special exhibits, etc.

Open Access Theses and Dissertations

A resource for finding open access graduate theses and dissertations published around the world. As of February 2014, the resource indexes over 1.9 million documents.

Open Modernisms

A site focused on works in the humanities inwhich instructors and scolars can find, remix, and create custom course packs and anthologies of primary source materials. 

OpenLibrary

OpenLibrary provides hundreds of thousands of electronic books free of charge and downloadable to your reading device. Register online for a free account and borrow up to five e-books for two weeks. Most of the collection is available only through participating libraries, in other words you need to have an account through your local participating library in order to borrow materials. (Simpson University is a participating library.)

Provides access to the Academic Complete library containing well over 100,000 eBooks. It features unlimited access and multidisciplinary coverage and is designed specifically for research productivity, from discovery to reading to bookshelf. Ebook Central replaces the former Ebrary and Ebook Library platforms. The new platform requires a login regardless of access location.

An online, subscription-based library that provides 24/7 access to books and journals in a variety of disciplines. Subscriptions cost $99 per year.

Sage Journals Online

A database of 440 peer-reviewed journals covering many subject areas.

Shasta College Library Catalog

The Shasta College Library is centrally located on the Shasta College campus (11555 Old Oregon Trail, Redding, CA 96003). Simpson University students may check out materials from the circulating collection by using their ID cards to apply for a Shasta College library card.

TOCS-IN, Table of Contents of Journals of Interest to Classicists

Provides the tables of contents of a selection of classics, Near Eastern studies and religion journals, both in text format and through a Web search program. Where possible, links are provided to online fulltext or abstracts (about 6%)

Melvyl contains the holdings of all libraries in the Univeristy of California system. Its primary use is for research purposes and information gathering.
